Air Con Re-gas in Ellacombe

How do I know my car needs an air con re-gas?

Which gas does my car use, and what will it cost?

There are two refrigerants. R134a is the older gas, and R1234yf is the newer one fitted to more recent cars, typically from around 2017 onward. Check your own car, because the two are not interchangeable. A label under the bonnet or the handbook will tell you which one you have.

An R134a re-gas starts from £50 for R134a gas, and a new-gas re-gas starts from £99 for R1234yf gas. If you are unsure, tell us the make and model and ask for a quote.

Can I just turn up for an R134a re-gas?

Yes. For R134a there is no booking needed. You can just turn up at Longcombe Cross, and it is a while-you-wait service, so you can plan around it rather than leave the car with us.

That turn-up arrangement applies to R134a only. For R1234yf, please ask for a quote first so we can talk it through.
