Why does my battery keep going flat?

Repeated flat batteries usually have one of three causes: an old battery that no longer holds charge, a charging system that is not topping it up, or something drawing current when the car is off. Short seafront trips make the first two more likely.

We test the battery, check alternator output and look for abnormal drain. Tracing a drain can take time because circuits have to be isolated one at a time, which is a cost driver worth knowing about when you ask for a quote.

Do you fit parking sensors and reversing cameras?

We repair and replace parking sensors and reversing cameras. They are very handy in a resort where parking spaces are tight and pedestrians are everywhere, and a faulty one can beep constantly or show a blank screen.

The cause may be a damaged sensor, a water-affected connector, a broken wire or a fault in the control module. Tell us what the display or beeping does and we can decide what needs testing.
